Susan was for many years a homeschool mom for our four children and a part-time English as a Second Language teacher through MCC.  She now teaches high school Spanish at Rapoport Academy in Waco.

Susan grew up in San Angelo, TX, graduated from Baylor in 1989 with a double major in Spanish and Foreign Service, and from UT Austin in 1991 with an MA in Foreign Language Education.

Clay has taught linguistics at Baylor since 2001.  Before coming to Baylor, he worked fourteen years in computer programming at banks in Oklahoma, Alabama, and Texas.

In 1992 and 1993, he and Susan taught ESL in Ulan-Ude, Russia and helped start a mission church in the city called Svet Mira (Light of the World) Christian Church, which now has all Russian leaders.

He also serves on the board of International Service Partners, an NGO overseeing educational and relief projects around the world.
