This is an archive section for the replaced texts on this website. It is broken into various sections.

In the Graduate E&M section it consists of an early version (2000) of Macroscopic Electrodynamics, Part I, and a later version (2004, 2005) of both Parts I and II.

It also has a Classical Mechanics section (2002) which arose in 2006 when I revised and replaced Part II (not enough changes, however, to justify a new copyright date). As I said in the Classsical mechanics section, Part I was only "repaired" at that time.

Last but not least, I have retired an older version (2002) of the Undergraduate E&M text here also after it had been revised and re-posted in 2006. The 2006 version is now also here after revision in 2009.

Graduate E&M section: Includes a mangled Word X version of Part I (2000). This version is not completely worthless - one can do cuts and pastes from there to do patch-up work on the Word 5.1 version.

Classical Mechanics section: This text started out in Word 6.0 on the Mac, which was a disastrous and buggy version. I remember at one point the computer would take up to half an hour to repaginate a chapter! Somewhere along the way I did an automatic conversion of all chapters to the old Office 98 Word version, which I then revised and converted back to good old Word 5.1. I then automatically converted Part I to Word System X to get the version posted here. This is the version I presently maintain and update on Part I. Part II has more issues. After the conversion and revision back to Word 5.1, they refuse to be automatically converted to any other version. Part II will therefore forever be maintained in good old Word 5.1 on Sytem 9, but never posted.

Undergraduate E&M section: A Word X version was given in the earlier posting, but I maintain this version in Word 5.1.
